So, I found this Riverside live album that
they are apparently selling as a rare release
during their gigs for this tour...

It's fucking awesome, just like the
Fabchannel gig, which I've probably seen
about 3 times already, but not once completely...

Oh, and I added this "Twitter" bar thing
at the right.
I'll try and update it as often as possible,
so it's accurate and shit...
Not that whatever I'm up to interests anyone,
but it can be entertaining to write...

I can't seem to get over the album Still Life...

It's an amazing piece of work that deserves more
than just one listen...

to really get into)

Also, I would like to point out that music is an
art form, not some kind of product that we have
the right to bring down if it doesn't please our expectations.

That only applies to creative music, of course, since
the most popular bands are backed with so much promotion,
they don't even need to reach you in order to gain success.

It only takes a chorus.

Which is why I've been getting into post-rock lately...
No pre-defined structure, no "hook", only instruments and creativity...

I saw that Mars was listening to acoustic versions
of Silversun Pickups songs, so I googled it
and found this little baby.
Week is made!

By the way, I'm also a huge fan of Silversun Pickups
and their only studio album, and also their first EP.
Been a fan for years, discovered them at the same time
as Smashing Pumpkins back then...
They have a new album called Swoon coming out soon...
(which I'm highly hyped for, but it seems like hype is dangerous nowadays...)

And I still can't stop listening to Insurgentes.
I will kill whoever deletes it from my iTunes, promised.

I've been getting into Meshuggah lately...
Well, let's face it, it's become a huge addiction.
Not that I have much to say about it...
It was more like a desperate attempt to
post anything...
Plus, the cover to Catch 33 is awesome!

Nothing is great too, but much more complex,
and not a concept album like Catch 33...

Still haven't managed to find the original version
of this one, only the re-issued one.

And I gave up on going to any gigs, because
life cruel, but also awesome in various other ways.

I now have a job and keep getting new job offers.
Some things just pay off, while others suck...
Also received my Opeth DVD, but still haven't
found the time to watch it.

This post was originally supposed to contain
rants about living in the worst place in the world
surrounded by zombies and kept away from
everything that could make somebody forget
about them.
Instead of raging over the 5-6 gigs I couldn't attend
for various stupid reasons, including tonight's
Dir en grey gig, which some friends attended,
This post is about one of Skinny Puppy's ohGr
and his side-project, so unexpectedly named ohGr.

It's basically a very dark industrial band in the same
vein as Skinny Puppy, only a bit more straightforward
(I bet less drugs are involved in their creative process)

They will be playing a gig in montreal on Dec. 3rd...
Based on last.fm and my usual luck, I'd say
it's the last good gig I can hope to attend before summer...

Until then, there will only be coffee and Reason...

Also found the second disc of Porcupine Tree's
re-issued version of Signify.
It's called Insignificance, and pretty much made
me a Porcupine Tree fanboy again today...

So ... huh...
I'm really not much of a gamer...
Most games seem either completely brainless,
or simply don't work on my PC
(which is a laptop by the way)

So, there were those 2 funny screenshots I took
in Fallout Tactics today...

Well, there's kind of a story behind it.
All my characters had died except my main one.
I managed to make him crawl his way out of the
mission area after freeing a (yellow? o_o) prisoner
but some enemies were waiting outside and killed
the prisoner before I could get up there...

So, I avenged him.
(with grenades :D)

(my character was severely wounded and
had gotten heavily addicted to various chemicals
before all that happenned...)

Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere...

Just rented the Porcupine Tree DVD again...
Feeling tired, sick, hurt and many other negative
status effects you can get in a regular japanese RPG game...

Still can't get over the release of Uroboros either...

And yes, I do make a different emotion for the little character
mascot thingy for every post.
I'll start using them again at some point, but for now, they're
